Today, work is being carried out in Uzbekistan to improve the activities of secondary specialized and vocational education organizations, as well as to train qualified experts in assessing the quality of education. In this process, the introduction of international experience and advanced practices is of great importance.
To this end, the National Agency for Education Quality Assurance under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan, organized seminars and trainings aimed at effectively organizing state accreditation processes in the secondary specialized and vocational education system.
As part of these events, an international expert in the field of education quality assurance, Ms. Dana Carmen, was involved. The participation of an international expert further increased the practical significance of the seminars and trainings and made it possible to harmonize international approaches to the processes.
In particular, on February 4-5 of this year, master classes on the formation of internal evaluation reports were held at the Tashkent College of Tourism and Hotel Management and the Shaykhontohur District College. Not only the host educational organizations, but also representatives of other technical schools and academic lyceums involved in the accreditation processes participated in these trainings and received detailed answers to their questions.
Also, on February 6 of this year, a seminar-training was organized for 40 experts on assessing the quality of secondary specialized and vocational education organizations with the participation of an international expert. The event was attended by the Director of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education, Bakhtiyor Yuldashev, and the Head of the UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan, Ms. Sara Noshadi, who spoke in detail about the responsible and honorable tasks assigned to the experts.
During the seminar-training, the participants were provided with detailed information on the activities of the Agency, the procedures for assessing the quality of education, and the rights and obligations of experts. Ms. Dana Carmen also organized practical training on analyzing internal evaluation reports according to indicators and determining their compliance.
Currently, seminars and trainings with the participation of international expert Ms. Dana Carmen are ongoing. These seminars and trainings serve as an important step towards ensuring quality, increasing transparency, and introducing accreditation mechanisms in line with international standards in the secondary specialized and vocational education system.
