About the agency

External evaluation is the process through which the Agency (NQAAE) assesses an educational institution’s activities, as well as the content, level, and quality of training, for compliance with State Educational Standards (requirements) and accreditation criteria.

The internal and external evaluation methodology is developed and approved by the Agency (NQAAE).

For the purpose of external evaluation of education quality, the Agency (NQAAE) establishes Expert Commissions based on the specific characteristics of occupations, fields of study, specializations, specialisms, and courses

The responsibilities of Expert Commissions include:
1. reviewing and validating information obtained from internal evaluation results and conducting external evaluation;
2. assessing whether the quality and content of education within the educational institution comply with State Educational Standards (requirements), accreditation criteria, and educational programs, as well as evaluating the quality and effectiveness of the education services provided;
3. providing proposals to enhance education quality and improve education services, preparing a report on the results of external evaluation, and submitting it to the Accreditation Commission.

Based on the internal evaluation report submitted by the educational institution, the Expert Commission may conduct external evaluation remotely without an on-site visit.

The Agency (NQAAE) maintains the Register of international, foreign, and non-governmental accreditation organizations recognized in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

An unscheduled review is conducted through an on-site visit to the educational institution, by requesting relevant information, or through online surveys.

The purpose of state accreditation is to formally recognize the reliability of an educational institution (or program) by ensuring and continuously improving education quality within educational institutions.
