A ranking of higher education institutions based on their level of international student enrolment has been developed across four categories: practical, social sciences and humanities, creative and sports, and medical institutions.

An analysis of international students by groups of countries based on citizenship shows:

➖ 16,175 students (65.6%) – citizens of other countries;

➖ 7,323 students (29.7%) – citizens of Central Asian countries;

➖ 1,149 students (4.7%) – citizens of high-income countries according to the World Bank classification.
