On 27 July, the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education launched a nationwide employer survey across Uzbekistan.

The survey aims to assess the professional preparedness, knowledge, and competencies of graduates from higher education institutions and technical colleges based on employers’ evaluations, and to determine how well graduates meet the evolving demands of today’s labour market.

The survey will collect employers’ feedback on graduates’ professional knowledge, practical skills and competencies, ability to work independently, digital skills, and their overall alignment with labour market requirements.

The survey covers employers throughout the country who have recruited graduates of higher education institutions and technical colleges.

To collect the data, the Agency’s interviewers (volunteers) will conduct telephone interviews. Where necessary, they will also visit employers’ organizations to carry out face-to-face interviews.

The results of the nationwide employer survey constitute one of the key indicators used in compiling the National Ranking of Higher Education Institutions and Technical Colleges.

The collected data will provide an important evidence base for evaluating the quality of graduate training, assessing the relevance of educational programmes to labour market needs, and measuring graduates’ competitiveness.

The findings will also support the development of policies and practical measures aimed at further enhancing the quality of education in Uzbekistan.
