➖ Tashkent State University of Economics – 1,690 staff members
➖ Uzbekistan State World Languages University – 1,316 staff members
➖ Samarkand State Medical University – 1,265 staff members

From a regional perspective, the largest concentration of academic staff is in Tashkent City, where 22,793 professors and lecturers are employed, accounting for 37% of the national total.
The regions with the next highest numbers are:

➖ Samarkand Region – 4,956 staff members
➖ Fergana Region – 4,452 staff members
➖ Bukhara Region – 4,334 staff members

Notably, the top five universities alone account for nearly 15% of all academic staff employed across the country’s higher education system.
