Issues of developing cooperation with Japan in the field of ensuring the quality of education were discussed

A meeting was held in Tokyo between the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Japan Association for University Accreditation.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the implementation of international experience in the field of quality assurance in higher education, the adaptation of the national system to international requirements and best practices. In particular, the issue of jointly developing internship and advanced training programs for local experts and Agency employees was discussed, and an agreement was reached to establish close and systematic cooperation in this area.

For information, the Japan Association for University Accreditation was established in 1947 at the initiative of 46 universities and has been playing an important role in the formation and development of quality standards in higher education in Japan since its establishment. The Association has accredited a number of faculties of prestigious higher education institutions, such as the University of Tokyo, which ranks 26th in the world rankings, and Kyoto University, which ranks 61st.

At the meeting, the Japanese side, relying on its experience in prestigious international networks, expressed its readiness to provide the Agency with advice and methodological support in the process of adapting the education quality assurance system to international standards, strengthening institutional capacity, and also in the future in the processes of joining these prestigious international networks.

This meeting is significant in that it serves to expand international cooperation in the field of education quality assurance and improve the national system based on advanced international experiences.
