As part of a survey of employers, the National Quality Assurance Agency for  Education conducted a study at “Uztemiryo‘lmashta’mir” JSC to assess the professional training and employment performance of graduates of Tashkent State Transport University.

During the study, discussions were held with the company’s representatives and specialists to gather feedback on the graduates’ professional knowledge and practical skills, their ability to meet the requirements of modern production, and their performance in the workplace.

The participants also discussed ways to further align the training of specialists at the higher education institution with employers’ needs, enhance students’ practical skills, and strengthen cooperation between the university and the enterprise.

It is worth noting that “Uztemiryo‘lmashta’mir” JSC is one of the enterprises with a long-standing history in Uzbekistan’s railway sector. The company’s history dates back to 1900, when the main railway workshops in Tashkent began operations. Today, the company operates within the “Uzbekistan Railways” JSC system as a major industrial complex specializing in the repair and modernization of rolling stock. Currently, approximately 1,300 employees work at the enterprise.

“Uztemiryo‘lmashta’mir” JSC is one of the strategic partners of Tashkent State Transport University and an important employer for its graduates. Within the framework of their cooperation, particular attention is paid to training highly qualified engineering and technical specialists in line with the company’s needs, organizing industrial and pre-graduation internships for students, enhancing the professional qualifications of specialists, and introducing scientific developments into production processes.

The findings of the study will contribute to analyzing employers’ feedback and recommendations regarding the preparation of graduates, assessing the alignment of educational programmes with labour market requirements, and further strengthening the integration of education, science, and industry.

In this regard, “Uztemiryo‘lmashta’mir” JSC is not only a major employer for Tashkent State Transport University, but also an important practical partner that contributes to strengthening the close link between education and industry in the training of qualified specialists.
