A meeting was held between the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Center for the Development of Technical and Vocational Education and Training of Romania.

During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the issues of ensuring the quality of education in the vocational education (TVET) system, harmonizing national and international quality assurance mechanisms, as well as adapting the best practices used within the European Union to the conditions of Uzbekistan. In particular, views were exchanged on the prospects for cooperation in the areas of development, evaluation and monitoring of vocational education programs, increasing the capacity of teachers, and forming competencies that meet the needs of the labor market.

The Romanian side highly appreciated the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan in the field of quality assurance in education and expressed its readiness to further develop bilateral cooperation through practical projects.

At the end of the meeting, a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and the National Center for the Development of Technical and Vocational Education and Training of Romania was held.

This agreement will serve to exchange experiences between the parties in the field of technical and vocational education, organize joint trainings and seminars, develop methodological manuals, and strengthen institutional capacity.
