According to the analysis conducted as part of the National Ranking of Higher Education Institutions, 70.6% of all university students in Uzbekistan—more than 1.1 million learners—are pursuing degree programmes in the Social Sciences and Humanities.
At the same time, higher education institutions offering these programmes experience the highest teaching workload among academic staff.
On average, one faculty member is responsible for 44.3 students in Social Sciences and Humanities institutions, which is 14 students above the national average.
