The National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a practical meeting on the topic of "Issues of quality of education in higher education institutions, accreditation and rating", dedicated to the processes of state accreditation of higher education institutions and determining their national rating.
As part of the meeting, along with discussions on these areas, a practical training session was also held on the calculation of the national rating of higher education institutions and accreditation processes.
At the event, it was noted that a "National Survey" is currently being conducted among students and professors in higher education institutions, the results of which will be thoroughly analyzed by the Agency and used as one of the main sources in forming the national rating of higher education institutions.
It was reported that the nationwide survey is being organized in two stages. At the current stage, the survey is being conducted among students and faculty, and at the next stage, it is planned to study the opinions of employers on the potential of graduates.
To date, the nationwide student and faculty survey has covered nearly 1 million respondents. It is noted that this high participation rate was recorded for the first time in the history of our country when studying the opinions of students and faculty on the quality of education.
The national rating is maintained by the Agency through a special platform, and in its formation, higher education, secondary specialized and vocational education organizations are evaluated based on a number of criteria and indicators, along with the results of the nationwide survey. According to the results of the assessment, the most advanced higher education organizations will be granted the status of "National Research University".
It was also noted at the event that the Agency has begun the process of state accreditation of educational organizations. Currently, applications for state accreditation from educational organizations are being accepted online through the Agency's special platform. It was announced that contracts will be signed with educational organizations that have submitted applications for accreditation, and the schedule for external evaluation will be published on the Agency's official website.
The event continued with questions and answers and discussions.
