Consistent reforms are being implemented in our country to develop the vocational education system in line with international standards, improve the quality of education, and train qualified specialists who meet the demands of the labor market. This, in turn, increases the need to introduce effective quality assurance mechanisms within the vocational education system.

For this purpose, new mechanisms for quality assurance and recognition in education have been introduced, and the practice of conducting special and comprehensive state accreditation of educational institutions has been established.

These processes make it possible to comprehensively assess the quality of education in vocational institutions, including educational and methodological support, material and technical resources, the professional capacity of teaching staff, and the system of practical training. At the same time, the accreditation mechanism contributes to strengthening openness, transparency, and a culture of quality within technical colleges.

As of May this year, applications for comprehensive state accreditation have been submitted by 37 technical colleges across the republic, covering a total of 365 educational programs. In addition, one technical college has applied for special state accreditation for 5 educational programs. Currently, internal and external evaluation processes are being conducted in 23 technical colleges.

Accreditation activities are continuing consistently across the regions. In particular, comprehensive state accreditation is being carried out for 43 educational programs in 4 technical colleges in Tashkent city. In Bukhara and Fergana regions, 26 educational programs are being evaluated in 2 technical colleges each. The accreditation process also covers 33 programs in Tashkent region, 19 in Navoi region, 18 each in Khorezm and Jizzakh regions, and 15 in Andijan region. At the same time, evaluation activities are continuing in technical colleges located in Namangan, Samarkand, Surkhandarya, Syrdarya, and Kashkadarya regions.

In international practice, accreditation is viewed not merely as a mechanism for controlling educational institutions, but as an important tool for fostering continuous improvement, establishing a culture of quality, and developing internal quality assurance systems. In developed countries, accreditation serves to evaluate whether educational programs meet labor market needs, as well as the competitiveness and practical skills of graduates.

The modern accreditation system being introduced in our country is also based on these principles. Today, technical colleges are assessed not only through documents or statistical indicators, but also through practical outcomes, cooperation with employers, graduate employability, and the actual quality of the educational process.

This plays an important role in introducing modern quality assurance mechanisms into the vocational education system, creating an educational environment aligned with international standards, and preparing competitive and highly qualified specialists for various sectors of the economy.

Most importantly, today’s accreditation processes are aimed not only at evaluating technical colleges, but also at encouraging their development, promoting continuous quality improvement, and shaping a new stage of excellence within the education system.
