The analysis of the sectoral specialization and structure of educational fields of higher education institutions, as well as their categorization, is a system of grouping higher education institutions into relevant categories based on their main areas of activity, student enrollment profile, and the structure of their educational fields.

Under this approach, higher education institutions are assessed separately within the categories of applied sciences, medical sciences, social sciences and humanities, as well as arts and sports. As a result, each higher education institution is compared with institutions that have a similar specialization.

This, in turn, contributes to strengthening healthy competition within the national ranking system, ensuring the fairness of assessment criteria, and improving the quality of higher education.
