Education quality specialists undergo professional development training in Malaysia

Specialists responsible for quality assurance from 15 higher education institutions of Uzbekistan are participating in the international professional development programme “MQA Internship Programme 2026”, organized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

The programme is aimed at enhancing participants’ knowledge and competencies in academic governance, internal quality assurance, international accreditation, and the evaluation of educational programmes based on advanced international practices.

As part of the programme, participants will visit two of Malaysia’s leading universities — University of Malaya (ranked 56th in the latest QS World University Rankings) and Taylor’s University (ranked 272nd in the QS World University Rankings) — where they will have the opportunity to study best practices in quality assurance and higher education management.

Representatives responsible for quality assurance from the following higher education institutions are taking part in the programme:

Andijan State Pedagogical Institute;
Andijan State University;
Banking and Finance Academy;
Bukhara State University;
Central Asian University;
Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage;
Uzbekistan State World Languages University;
Kokand State University;
Samarkand State Pedagogical Institute;
Sambhram University;
Shahrisabz State Pedagogical Institute;
Chirchik Branch of Tashkent State Medical University;
Tashkent State Transport University;
Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute;
Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service.

The programme serves as an important platform for strengthening professional competencies, exchanging international experience, and further improving quality assurance systems in Uzbekistan’s higher education sector.
