About the Organization
TedQual is an education quality assessment and certification system developed by UN Tourism, the United Nations specialized agency for tourism. The TedQual programme is designed to validate the alignment of tourism, hospitality, and related educational programmes with international standards.
The TedQual assessment system primarily provides programme-level certification (rather than classic national accreditation). The assessment framework covers four core areas: curriculum content, engagement with students and graduates, faculty capacity, and the level of cooperation with industry (the tourism sector). The process is conducted by independent international experts and places particular emphasis on alignment of the programme with labor market needs.
The TedQual certificate supports the global recognition of education programmes in tourism and hospitality. It enhances the international reputation of education providers, strengthens integration with the sector, and improves graduates’ competitiveness in the international labor market.
