Prof. Dr. Yuko Takahashi is an internationally recognized higher education leader, scholar, and quality assurance expert with extensive experience in university governance, accreditation, educational policy, and international academic cooperation. Her work focuses on higher education quality assurance, institutional leadership, educational reform, gender equality, and the internationalization of higher education.

She currently serves as President of the Japan University Accreditation Association (JUAA), Japan's leading higher education quality assurance agency, and President of Tsuda University. Throughout her career, she has played a pivotal role in strengthening quality assurance systems, promoting academic excellence, and advancing institutional governance in Japanese higher education.

Prof. Takahashi is also President of the International Federation for Research in Women's History and serves as a Council Member of the Science Council of Japan. She chairs the Council for University Chartering and School Juridical Person at Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and contributes to national and international higher education policy through leadership roles in UNESCO, the Japan Association of Private Universities and Colleges, and several academic and public organizations.

A distinguished scholar in the fields of the history of education, American studies, social history, and gender history, Prof. Takahashi has authored numerous books and scholarly publications, including Umeko Tsuda: A Social History and Umeko Tsuda: Pioneering Women's Education. Her academic and professional contributions have significantly influenced higher education policy, accreditation, women's leadership, and quality enhancement in Japan and internationally.
